The author of the story lived in a zinc roofed house near a botanic garden. One evening after playing the whole afternoon he was walking home some time between seven or eight. He saw a dark shadow which was very terrifiying. He thought that i was the pontianak which her mother told him before to keep him from coming home early. He tried not to attract it's attraction but unfortunately he step a stick and made a loud noise. The creature turned to him and he saw his face. A face with white glistening white teeth and its hand was holding something. Oh My God it is holding his pet rabbit. He ran as fast as he could but the creature was too fast. The creature pass through him and turned around facing him. He doesn't have any choise but to fight.He pick up the brick and fight against him hitting his head as hard as he could. It is working! The pontianak ran away. He went back to find his pet but it couldn't been found.
I think that this story tells us that every human can really summoned everything they could when facing death or fear. To saved ourselves we could do everything with strength and intelligence that are stronger than normal times.

ReplyDeleteI have seen this story's CD in some stall. The cover of it was the pontianak. It was a ghost formed by a woman who died when pregnant. Its face was ugly and not as beautiful as the picture. And... did you think the rabbit was eaten by it?
